Job description
The Storage and Virtualization Engineer will work closely with the, Sales and Services teams in supporting Customers. Primary responsibilities will consist of Pre-sales design and Architecture, Solution implementation and post-sales support.
In addition, the Storage and Virtualization Engineer will help/assist in customer D/R tests as necessary.

This will be a post-sales implementation position, with some Pre + post-sales responsibility other than solution support.
- Responsible for assisting Business Development Managers, Sales Managers and Account Executives in defining, positioning, architecting, designing and presenting a range of systems solutions around VMWare, Citrix, and Storage (EMC, HDS, DELL, Netapp, HP, IBM) and Backup, Active Directory and other MS products, Linux, HP.
- Participate in Client Facing Meetings to determine business and technical requirements that will be used in developing system solutions or solution alternatives that fit within capabilities.
- Obtaining technical certifications around various system solutions as required
- Leading client technical sessions, both white board and power point, around potential and proposed system solutions.
- Elevating the level of knowledge within the sales team around system technologies
- Designing and delivering/implement technical design solutions, along with the services
- Be highly available and responsive to the assigned regional sales teams.
Qualifications
- Strong implementations background
- Experience with implementing and maintaining Storage (EMC, HDS, DELL, Netapp, HP, IBM) and Backup environments.
- Experience and or Certifications in VMWARE, Citrix and NetApp or other industry solutions a plus.
- Experience and or certifications in storage and SAN technologies such as iSCSI, Fiber Channel and NFS
- Experience and or certifications in Citrix, VDI, VMware View are an addition
- Ability to work as a solid team member and leader.
- Self-starter, able to manage expectations with a sales team and with clients
- A positive attitude and desire to grow business
- Ability to travel
- Outstanding customer service and interaction skills, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Should be honest, assertive and systematic.
Education / Experience
- Must have 3-5 years working experience supporting, maintaining and administering Citrix and core Microsoft technologies including Windows Server 2003/2008.
- Sound working knowledge of Internet/Intranet technologies including security features.
- Proficient and familiar with MS Office Professional Suite including the ability to fluently use Microsoft Word, Excel and Power point.
- Working experience supporting, maintaining and administering Storage (EMC, HDS, DELL, Netapp, HP, IBM) and Backup and Virtualization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or 5 years related field experience or an equivalent combination in education and work experience.
